The option to save 10 loadouts per character means there will be plenty of room for experimentation, from being the ultimate support Solar Warlock healing themselves and their fireteam to a destructive Void Titan chaining Volatile explosions from enemy to enemy. Given the emphasis Bungie has placed on buildcrafting inside Lightfall, some players may not be surprised to see the studio provide more options to play with when building those ideal loadouts. Echo of Cessation and Echo of Vigilance are the last two fragments, both for Void, which will see the former lean into Volatile, and the latter will provide a Void overshield for defeating enemies while wounded. The new Solar fragments will be Ember of Mercy and Ember of Resolve, both of which will lean into healing. Arc will receive the Spark of Instinct, which will focus on causing damage and jolting enemies, while the Spark of Haste will provide a general buff to player stats while sprinting. The reworked fragments will also be joined by six new fragments, two per subclass, to give players more options when testing out new loadouts. Lightfall is the next major expansion for Destiny 2, pitting players against The Witness and his newest disciple, Calus, as the pair lead their forces on an invasion of Neptune and its hidden capital city, Neomuna. It appears the work is set to continue inside Lightfall between the current fragments and the addition of new fragments for players to experiment with. Bungie's last year working on the Solar, Void, and Arc subclasses and bringing them in line with aspect and fragment structure was first seen with Stasis, dubbing the rework Light 3.0. The release of Lightfall is bringing with it plenty of changes to how Destiny 2 players will combat the forces of The Witness with the use of Strand, though the remaining Light subclasses will be getting some updates of their own.
